Himalaya - Abstract Landscapes of High Lands
The Himalaya, the abode of Snow in literal translation from its Sanskrit name, offers one the grandest vistas of unending mountain range and meandering rivers in the deep valleys. The dramatic light, the hovering clouds over the cliffs, huge massifs of unclimbed peaks all add to the grand drama that unfolds in thin air of Himalaya. A true artist, a photographer would never get disappointed with what is on offer constantly all around us. I had visited the Himalaya multiple times and each time, the landscapes offer me different frames.
Through the years, I tried to go beyond its grandness and inch a little closer to the patterns and shapes the mountains offer. That shaped up this abstract, closer view of these high lands that are constantly changed by the High Winds, Flowing Rivers and Melting Snow. The below photographs are just an abstract way of showing these grand landscapes in a different way to entice viewers to bring closer to the landscape than seeing its grandness from far away.
