Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, lies in the foothills of Himalaya.
Surrounded by the enchanting sal forests and meandering Ramganga river that flows in one of the oldest park in India, it presents an opportunity to live in the real wilderness.
We would be staying inside the Forest Rest House, at Dhikala for 3 nights to maximise our chances of seeing a tiger, elephant and other animals.
The celebrated forest, not just is famous for its Tigers, but also the congregation of huge herds of elephants at the river and in grasslands, rich variety of Himalayan and forest birds too would keep us occupied.
The park offers one of the best landscape and vast vistas to view the wild animals in their true home.
We would learn more about the composition, light, exposure and how we can include the habitat with the animals to make memorable and creative images.
The rich avifauna includes birds like Tawny and Brown Fish owl, spot-bellied eagle-owl, Pallas and Grey-headed fish eagles, collared falconet, green magpie, Pied Kingfisher, Redstarts, .
The Tigers and Leopards being the apex predators in mammals are secretive and seen around the riverside in one of the best habitats of park.
Elephant herds in the vast expanse of Dhikala grasslands has been famous for a while and it presents one of the best opportunities to make the best creative images in the park.
We would have image review session each evening and share our learnings in making the best images.
